This exciting initiative is dedicated to identifying and recognizing Vermont's best employers. If you think your organization has what it takes to be honored at the 13th annual "Best Places to Work in Vermont", please visit to register or for more information.

An employee assessment will determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. Winning companies will be highlighted in Vermont Business Magazine and will be recognized at an awards gala to be held in Spring 2019. All companies will receive their own Assessment Findings Report at the end of the process.

The "Best Places to Work in Vermont" project is a statewide program managed by Best Companies Group.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

- Have at least 15 employees working in Vermont;

- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity;

- Be a publicly or privately held business;

- Have a facility in the state of Vermont; and

- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Vermont and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

"All Vermonters know that Vermont is a great place to live, work and play. So as we see this list grow each year, up from 45 last year,  we know that our employees are happy with their place of employment. The employers have created a work environment where the employees love to come to work. This list is a testament to the fantastic companies here in Vermont", states John Boutin, Publisher, Vermont Business Magazine.

Who is number one?

The final rankings for each category will be announced at a special awards presentation in March 2019.
