Career Highlights: The career highlight I'm most proud of is being asked to represent my town (Vernon, VT) in statehouses across the country speaking about the social and economic effects of losing a nuclear power plant on local and regional economies.

Community Involvement: My community involvement includes several elected and appointed positions in my hometown of Vernon. I'm the Selectboard Chair, Recreation Department Board Chair, Assistant Emergency Management Director, Solid Waste Committee Member, Board of Civil Authority Member, and Veterans Memorial Committee Member.
In addition to my town involvement I'm a Vermont Justice of the Peace, a Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary member, and a Governor appointed member of the Vermont NDCAP (Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel)

What motivated you to live and work in Vermont? I was motivated to live and work in Vermont by my wife. We met in college and I followed her home.

Favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is no one day is ever the same. From human resources to marketing I can experience it all in just a day.

What is the best career advice you have received? The best career advice I've ever received is, "If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got."

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: Few people know that I am one of the few Rising Star winners that had to scan their high school photo since it wasn't digital.

What three words best describe you? Driven. Reliable. Adaptable.

Favorite downtime activity: My favorite downtime activity is riding my ATV.

Person you would most like to share a Vermont beverage with: The person I'd most like to share a Vermont beverage with is my Grandma Lanham. She passed away 16 years ago and I'd love the opportunity to tell her about my daughters.

If you had unlimited access to funds which cause(s) would you support: The cause I would support if I had unlimited funds is veteran suicide prevention.
