Favorite part of job? The challenge! I learn something new every day through my work with inspiring entrepreneurs in Washington and Lamoille Counties. I also benefit from being surrounded by my smart and talented colleagues at VtSBDC, and supportive neighbors at CVEDC and LEDC. Finally, I’m passionate about developing my knowledge in International Trade and helping Vermont businesses introduce their products to new markets.

Most inspiring mentor? I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors who’ve appeared at exactly the right time. There are too many to name here. However, one person deserves special mention. For the past three years I’ve had a monthly call with Maine SBDC Master Counselor Brad Swanson. Brad has spent countless hours answering my questions and offering helpful feedback. I’m so appreciative of the time he’s invested in my professional development.

Who is your living hero? My wife Minori. She’s the most amazing person I know.

Favorite downtime activity? I like to stay busy, so there are a few favorites:  reading with my kids, CrossFit at the Confluence in Montpelier, devouring personal development books, skiing, playing and coaching lacrosse, hanging out with my buddies at the Three Penny Taproom, hiking, walking at the Elmwood Cemetery in Barre, and playing tennis at First in Fitness.

Favorite Vermont Escape? Skiing at Sugarbush. Hiking at any number of locations in Central Vermont. Hanging out on the beach at Crystal Lake in Barton.

Favorite social network? Montpelier Rotary and Vermont Lacrosse (Facebook and LinkedIn for online social networking.)

Favorite website? Vermontbiz.com, of course!

Vermont Business Person you would most want to network with? Ed Colodny, David Coates, and Ernie Pomerleau.
