Favorite Part of Job? Being able to connect with people from all walks of life and make an impactful change on a daily basis.

Most Inspiring Mentor: As a reporter for 40 years, my father taught me about fairness, equality, and the value of good storytelling.  As a teacher and small business owner, my mother taught me about grace, integrity, having a hardwork ethic and kindness.

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: If I need to, I can crack an egg with one hand (thanks to my brother teaching me).

Favorite Vermont Escape: Old historic route 7A from Bennington to Manchester; as you come upon Mount Equinox in the fall.

Favorite Downtime Activity: Cooking meals for others.

Favorite Super Hero: Currently Iron Man, but have been known to be a fan of Superman and Batman.

Favorite Social Media: Facebook is the great social communicator; my favorite is to see older grandparents connecting with younger members of their families - something I imagine they would have never thought possible.

Person you would like to share a Vermont beverage with: My father who passed away 16 years ago; would love to talk with him about current politics, Vermont and the way it used to be and where we're going.

What is the best career advice you have received? Show up, on time, prepared, ready to go.

Where do you see yourself professionally in ten years? Not sure of the job, but something that allows me to connect with people, influence change, and bring my talents to something that needs help.

What motivated you to live and work in Vermont? Authenticity; a great mix between community, wilderness and all that's in between.

Career Highlights: Was on the cover of Capital Magazine for rising stars in the Capital Region of NY; wrote my book, Survival of the Hive, before I was 30; traveled around the country speaking about Millennial leadership to many organizations and people; and becoming the executive director of our regional Chamber right before my 30th birthday.

Community Involvement: My job has really become my community involvement as they are so closely aligned.  I love that this job allows me to tackle some big community initiatives including tourism, young professionals, business ecosystem, entrepreneurship, education, and poverty.
