Favorite Part of Job? I love finding people who believe in Vermont and our people - whether they support farmers, or schools or health, or education - they are the inspiration for me.

Most Inspiring Mentor: I have many mentors, but Paul Costello at VCRD is one of my most recent. Paul is always inspired by and interested in promoting the work of others. He is a local hero, who strives to be worthy of Vermont's great history and its future.

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: When I was in my twenties, I built an electric truck and I learned to scuba dive. And I make patchwork quilts for my nephews and nieces!

Favorite Downtime Activity: I love to canoe, to read, to cook, and to lose at Board games...

Favorite Vermont Escape: My parent's house in Glover!

Favorite Social Media: I like to Skype with my brother and his family...but I'm not sure that counts.

Vermont Business Person you would most want to Network with: Jan Blomstrann, of NRG Systems.

Career Highlights: It was important for me to live and work in the rural Rocky Mountain West. It enabled me to learn more - from a distance -about Vermont and its rural environment. And it was wonderful to work for Farm and Wilderness - a place that has been a part of my family and my own childhood.

Community Involvement: At my college graduation in 2001, one speaker told us that "service was the rent we paid for taking up space on this earth". It has always felt to me that community service is simply a way to repay an incredibly lucky life.
