Favorite Part of Job? Limitless opportunities to build relationships and partnerships!  Every day I am doing something different, meeting new people from the very young to the young at heart, from corporations to communities.  People helping people; doesn't get much better than that for me.

Most Inspiring Mentor: I am lucky to have had many people help shape me into the person I am today; but one of the most inspiring mentors was my paternal grandmother.  She was a working mother of two, wife and homemaker.  She taught me to always think for myself, always ask questions, always expect the best but to do it all with respect and grace. She was fiercely devoted to her family and a fashionista.  I will always remember her perfume!

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: I LOVE entertaining and go all out for celebrations, theme parties and holidays from Turkey Trot with a running turkey and pilgrim (that's me) to my annual themed Kentucky Derby Party to Wine Tasting dinners, and more.  Just call me...I'll find a reason to celebrate!

Favorite Downtime Activity: I enjoy sports, especially skiing and running.  I frequently participate in community road races from 5ks to half marathons.

Favorite VT Escape: I grew up on Lake Bomoseen and have always found the serenity of Vermont's beautiful lakeside shores to be my favorite places to escape.

Favorite Social Media: Facebook is a wonderful way to reconnect with old friends, stay in touch and with family and friends of today and network with potential friends for the future.

Favorite Website: Pinterest!  It's addicting.  You've been warned.

Vermont Business Person you would most want to Network with: I have had the opportunity to chat several times with GMP President Mary Powell, and I find her enthusiasm for community development and leadership inspiring and I welcome the opportunity to connect again in the future.

Career Highlights: I have spent the majority of my career in sales and marketing.  Four years ago, I was invited to join Heritage Family Credit Union for a newly created position of Business Development.  I am so proud to have been promoted to the senior management team and to have had the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally representing HFCU.  I am lucky to be working with incredibly talented colleagues for an organization that is committed to serving its members and giving back to the community.  I feel grateful that I've been able to realize my professional strengths and found a career that truly values those strengths.

Community Involvement: Part of my core values is a deep desire to give back to the community. I feel we all have a role to play in making our community a better place to live, work and worship.  The majority of my community involvement can be found in a couple of organizations; however I am always happy to lend a helping hand if I can.  Perhaps the most notable involvement is as chairperson of the highly successful Dancing with the Rutland Stars, to benefit Pediatric Services of the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice for which I am 2nd Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.  In addition, I am the Vice Chair of the United Way of Rutland County Board of Directors as well as the fundraising campaign chairperson for the last several years.
Professionally, I am actively involved in our local Chamber of Commerce and the co-chair of the membership committee.  I am also a member of many associations and networking groups.
