Favorite Part of Job? There is a lot of variety and change in my job which i love, it keeps it exciting and enjoyable.
I get the opportunity to work with some of the most elite Building companies in the state, which goes hand in hand
with working in some of the most aesthetically mind-blowing Residential Homes and Commercial Buildings.

Most Inspiring Mentor: I would say my Dad, definitely. He has always been the go to guy for anything i have needed help on or had questions with.
He has been a huge mentor throughout my life and I wouldn't be where i am today if it weren't for him.

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: I really love photography. I took a film photography class in College (Champlain College) which really got me started on my hobby.

Favorite Downtime Activity: I avidly do 'Crossfit' about 4 days per week at a local gym in Williston which i really love.
I also love working on my Condo as my plan is to rent it in the future and invest in another property with a friend.

Favorite Vermont Escape: I would have to say the Stowe / Waterbury area, as there are so many great places to hike and explore.

Favorite Social Media: Personally, I am not a big fan of Facebook or Twitter. I would say for personal enjoyment that Instagram would be my favorite.
Business wise, i think LinkedIn is a great networking platform.

Favorite Website: Of coarse I would say: www.theroyalgroupinc.com!
The only other website i can think of that i go to on my free time would be 'stumbleupon'.

Vermont Business Person you would most want to Network with: I use to be an Intern for the Burlington Business Association and worked directly under Kelly Divine (The Director of the BBA)
I have already networked with her on numerous occasions but I really have to say she is so well connected within the Burlington Community,
I truly look up to her as a model business person in the Burlington area.

Career Highlights: I started as a helper on the side back in high school when i wasn't rebuilding and painting cars; I would clean, work the front counter, answer phones, whatever needed to be done. I then worked there full time in the summers during college. One summer i worked in the Glass Department which i really enjoyed.
I then began working in the Security and Fire Alarm division which i was really interested in. During college is when i really started training and taking the work seriously rather than just being a helper. I had the best teachers i could ask for to train me on technical knowledge, troubleshooting, customer relations, and everything in between.
I have worked under the wings of our lead technicians and now am on the road by myself as a lead technician in the Chittenden County Area.
Our company keeps all of our technicians current on training and technical skills and knowledge, therefore i have been to Mass, Connecticut, Arizona, New York, and Jersey for trainings and certifications.
Our company strives to have the best people out there and we pride ourselves in our family type work environment.

Community Involvement: Well after interning for The Burlington Business Association during college, I joined professionally after college with The Royal Group entity, hoping to make more connections in the Burlington area. The BBA has been a great tool for me to expand my social networking skills and become more entrenched in the Burlington community.

I recently volunteered to help build a log cabin in the woods for a family in the Dorset / Manchester area. A few of my friends and I drove from Burlington to volunteer for the day.

I am speaking briefly on behalf of my family business for The Family Business Initiative program hosted at UVM this coming Monday. I will also be joining The Family Business Initiative in the near future to become more active with up and coming business people in my age bracket.

I also have attended the VT Business EXPO as a vendor for the past (2) years.
