CHRISTIAN Hunt

Company: Vermont State Police
Title: Trooper
Age: 37

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: I recently started private flying lessons as my life-long dream was to be a pilot.

What three words best describe you: Resilient. Outgoing. Creative.

Favorite Vermont Escape: Hiking in Smuggler’s Notch during the winter when Route 108 is closed and enjoying a Vermont Beer at the top.

Favorite Downtime Activity: Relaxing, traveling, and spending time with my family and dogs.

Person you would like to share a Vermont beverage with: David Ortiz or Tom Brady.

If you had unlimited access to funds, which causes would you support: I would use funds to eliminate cancer and support the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.

What is the best career advice you have received: Always select , double-check “reply to sender”, not “reply to all” in group emails.

There is only one first impression.

What motivated you to live and work in Vermont: The small town feel with the opportunity to make a difference.

Career Highlights: I am most proud of the many accomplishments my K9 partner, Reiko, and I had while working together serving the citizens of Vermont.

Community Involvement: I’m proud to be part of “Operation Fire Cuffs.” Since starting it in 2010 with my friend, Phil, from Burlington Fire, the annual event has grown to include over 20 agencies bringing gifts to the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital during the holiday season.

Additionally, I enjoy speaking with people in the community where I work, in a positive and promotable way towards law enforcement.
