Favorite Part of Job: I love being able to take projects from a thought scratched down in my notebook to full-scale strategy with partners and participants. I've been lucky to be able to collaborate with a host of talented makers throughout Vermont, and learning from them and drawing inspiration from their work gets me out of bed in the morning.

Most Inspiring Mentor: I admire Christina Tosi, Gabrielle Hamilton, and Niki Nakayama--all powerful players in the food world that have confidently blazed their own trails in an industry that doesn't always make it easy to do so. They remind me that there isn't always a clear path to your goals, which is why you often have to make your own.

Tell us something fun about yourself that few people know: I lived in Hawaii (Kauai) for a couple years after college, I took my driver's test in a full-size pickup, and am in love with Hayao Miyazaki animated films.

Favorite Social Media: I'm obsessed with Instagram-it's an incredible tool to connect with other entrepreneurs, and to share the work we do at Stonecutter.

What is the best career advice you have received? Dress for your next promotion. The advice obviously isn't really about how you look--it's about thinking about professional and personal development that helps push you to be the best version of yourself.
